Seafarer 2008



Aan de waddenkust van het eiland Terschelling bouwde ik een zeevaardershuis. In het huis draaide de film Seafarer, opgenomen tijdens de reis met de catamaran Seafarer van het atelier in Groningen naar Terschelling. Elke dag werd de film aangevuld met nieuwe scènes. Vanuit de toren keek je uit over zee waar ik de aankomst steeds opnieuw opvoerde.

At the Wadden Seacoast of the isle Terschelling in the north of Holland I built a seafarers house with inside the movie Seafarer playing on a videoscreen. The movie was shot during the journey with the catamaran Seafarer from my studio in Groningen to Terschelling. During the festiva new scenes were added to the movie. At the tower you could get a view of the seascape with me arriving time and time again.
